六氯苯属于欧盟POPs法规附件I中所列物质，修订前未设定无意微量污染物（UTC）限值，根据欧盟POPs法规第3(1)条，禁止其在物质、混合物或物品中生产、上市和使用。委员会已经确定六氯苯主要是以杂质形式存在于比如杀虫剂、氯化溶剂、油墨、涂料、油漆和调色剂、木材、纺织品和塑料当中，鉴于六氯苯在物质、混合物或者物品中是以无意使用的微量污染物存在的，为了澄清法律情况并促进执法，委员会决定将六氯苯的UTC限值设定为10mg/kg（0.001%）。修订前后的主要变化如下：| (EU) 2022/2291： | ||
